Jeff Avant, PGA
General Manager/Director of Golf

Jeff attended and graduated from Methodist College.  He majored in Business Administration with a concentration in Professional Golf Managament. He went to work at Hillandale Golf Course in Durham, NC in 1996.  Hillandale GC was nationally recognized as one of the "top 100 Golf Shops" in the country every year since 1988.   Jeff worked there until July 2005 when he was hired as the Head Golf Professional at Rolling Hills CC.  He became a Class "A" member of the PGA of America in February of 2005.  Jeff and his wife Diane have two children;  Corey and Lindsey

Monty Coffee
Greens Superindendent
 
Monty was born and raised in Asheville, NC.  He started his career at Biltmore Forest Country Club while attending the University of Tennessee where he graduated with a turfgrass management degree.  He moved to Charlotte in 2001 and spent 22 years working for Ballantyne Country Club.  William is an active member of the GCSAA, Carolinas Golf Course Superintendents Association and the North South Turfgrass Association. He and his wife, Dianna, live in Fort Mill, SC.

Grayson Glascock
Executive Chef

 

Grayson graduated with a 4.0 GPA in the Culinary Technology program at Central Piedmont in Charlotte . Not only was he a full-time culinary student, Grayson was also enrolled in the ACF Apprenticeship Program at Old North State Club and working full-time. Following graduation from school and the apprenticeship, Grayson earned his Certified Culinarian title and was offered the Executive Chef position at the Reserve Golf Club. There he served the members for five years as the Chef as well as the Food and Beverage Director. Following the Reserve, he moved to the Bald Head Island Club and took a position as the Executive Sous Chef .  He joined the Rolling Hills CC team in 2017.

Arthur Washington
Sous Chef
 
Arthur was born and raised in Charleston, SC.  He moved to Charlotte in 2010, where he lives with his daughter, Aliyah and his wife, Jessica.  Arthur has been a Sous Chef for the last 7 years.  He began his career working at fine dining and private establishments in Charleston.  Arthur also worked at private clubs on Kiawah Island.  In his spare time he loves to create amazing food.  He started at Rolling Hills in November of 2021.

Francis DiMenna
Tennis Director

Francis Di Menna relocted from New York and joined the Rolling Hills Team in March 2014.  He brings over 20 years of teaching experience and was the Tennis Director at Mt. Kisco Country Club for ten years.  Francis was the Head Tennis Professional at Armonk Tennis Club in the indoor season.  He grew up in New York and was a successful junior player earning a college scholarship.  Francis graduated from Lynchburg College in Virginia with a degree in biology.  He is still an active player and is certified by the USPTA.  Francis and his wife Adrienne have two children; Jack and Madison.

Dawn Ferro
Accounts Receivable/Receptionist

Dawn Ferro is originally from New Jersey where she worked at McMaster Carr for 8 years in customer service.  Dawn and her family relocated to NC in July of 2006.  She worked for Vanguard Supreme in production control and purchasing.  She joined the Rolling Hills CC team in January 2012.  She is an active member of Lee Park Baptist Church in Monroe and is a volunteer on their greeting committee.  She lives in Union County with her husband and has two children.

Debbie Laney
Controller

Debbie Laney is a native of Union County.  She is Rolling Hills Country Club's longest tenured staff member. When Debbie first joined the staff of Rolling Hills, she was in charge of the Accounts Receivable Dept. After four years of employment, she transferred to the Controller position.  Debbie and her husband, Wray, live in Monroe. They have two grown children, a daughter, Haiden(a math teacher at Parkwood High) and a son, Marshall(employed by the family business, Laney Electric).  In Debbie's spare time she enjoys traveling with her family and spending time at the beach.
